This was great and right up the alley of my favorite types of books my grown-ass likes to read (don't judge me) This genre(highschool bully romance for 18+) has gotten so popular this year and finally, we get an I/R couple (we need more please)
description
This story has the angst and hates to love you romance with hot back and forth fights that are soooooo fire! I enjoyed the hell out of this and didn't want it to end. Maverick you will hate to love and Cocoa you will root for her happiness. Let me just say the bathroom and classroom scene was freaking hot! I woke up my husband for that one lol! This is another new to me, author, I have found via Instagram and another to add to my fav list cant wait to read more from her!

Reign of Brayshaw

Reign of Brayshaw (Brayshaw, #3)Reign of Brayshaw by Meagan Brandy

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

 description
Holy season chicken and bisuits this was fire!!! Meagan Brandy wrote the hell out of this book! This third book in the series had my brain in a whirlwind of ‘What the heck is going on and my heart feeling all the emotions in the world’… Damn the feels this book gave me and angst so much angst.

Raven my badass queen did her thing in this! Captain oh my Cap omg wow he was so strong and so loyal! Royce was trying to keep it together for everyone has my heart forver! Then last Big Man aka Maddoc damn my dude lost his cool in this poor guy went through it I felt for him so much I hated that he wasn’t present for what felt like to me 30% of the book that was just way too much for my heart.

I love all the twists and turns in this the saying but not saying whats going on kept me guessing. They go through so much in this book that you stay anxious all the way till the end even with like three epilogues. All in all this was an amazing reading and I can't wait for the next Journey with all of them. I think you will enjoy this freefall ride of a story my stomach literally dropped the majority of the book.

Happy reading my friends

Sticks and Stones

Sticks & StonesSticks & Stones by Santana Blair

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I thought this was great and so freaking cute and oh the angst was even adorable. I love this re-telling of pride and prejudice on the flip side. a Little lady from the right side of the tracks named Darcie meets a handsome boy from the wrong side of the tacks named Elijah (which is my favorite boy name after Justin oh and Jacob)
These two come together and oh my heartstrings. This was absolutely full of cotton candy love misunderstandings and beautiful make-ups. This is a new to me author that I will most definitely be reading more of.

Another Y/A I/R to add to my grown-ass ya shelve to adore forever. Happy reading my friends

Vicious

Vicious (Sinners of Saint, #1)Vicious by L.J. Shen

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Wow, that was Vicious!! Review to come but first I want to read about his friend Jaime and the Teacher 🤓.......
Ok, now that I read a few more books from this series I have to change my rating to 5 stars because of Vicious. He is plain and simple the ultimate bad boy who doesn't give a f*ck, that you hate to love his type of character! I think you got to be in the mood for this type of A-hole because he is a hard one to love but listening to his voice on audio was great I laughed a lot.

Emilia God bless you girl she took a lot from this prick. He is such a jerk who loves hard in his mean way. Enemies to lovers Emilia was perfect for him her quirky style and weirdness brought that boy to his knees. This is a semi-dark angsty read full of some hot lovin and bad book boyfriends you will come to love... or hate ;)

Mindf*ck

MindF*ckMindF*ck by Danyell A. Wallace

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This was a great story have to admit the title didn't fit. To me, anything with the words mind f*ck I instantly think dark romance but this wasn't that. Both Clayton and Kennedys past was bittersweet up until Clayton had an accident and got amnesia( my only dislike was that his only memory loss was of his life with Kennedy no one else just her) we go on a journey of past and present with the H&H each telling their story of when they met fell in love and how it all went bad then back to happy every after which of course is my absolute favorite type of reads and also I/R Y/A to N/A at that!

Scandalous

Scandalous (Sinners of Saint, #3)Scandalous by L.J. Shen

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Ok, this was an ok read I liked but wish the relationship was with a different woman than an 18-year-old girl. Don't get me wrong I have nothing against the age difference but for some reason with him having a little four-year-old daughter it just felt off like they didn't fit. She was just too immature for me. The chemistry was forced and Trent's behavior was forced too.... yeah all the hot holes are dark mean badasses but he was nasty lets just say I hope Edie takes an enema regularly. Sorry so not into the place where sh*t exits description

I loved Trent though but wanted so much better for him but hey it is what it is. I even love Edie but she fits more with Bane imo. I loved that the guys are still close and always have each other's backs, love that their wives are close too but I'm kinda worried about Jamie and Mels daughter Daria I hope she's not going to be that mean in her book lol! Anyway, this story was cool I like the twist L.J. knows how to shock you. She makes think this is predictable then bam what? You can not take down the Hot-holes!

All in all somewhat enjoyable read cant complain all that much since the hot level was up to the roof!

Defy

Defy (Sinners of Saint, #0.5)Defy by L.J. Shen

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Well my goodness this was a hot one! A teacher-student love that blew me away. All I can say was Jamie was seriously smooth he walked it like he talked it! He put it down on Melody! lol
This was a short novella that could be read as a stand-alone. I'm not one for short stories, but this was a quick read that was worth it.
Very enjoyable and if you're looking for something taboo and risky and so hot you need to blow a fan on your hoo-ha

Birthday Girl

Birthday GirlBirthday Girl by Penelope Douglas

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Yaaaaasssss another forbidden love done right! description

There are some forbidden romances that have you feeling embarrassed or even uncomfortable while reading... then there are ones written so well and are so hot you need to fan yourself.

Birthday Girl was great! I loved Jordyn she was mature 19 yr old with a lovely personality a good girl with a good head on her shoulders. (and she loved 80's music I freaking love 80's music!!!) I loved Pike (Book boyfriend for-reals ya'll) I mean wow what a man of worth! When these two meet the chemistry is on fire you root for them from the beginning. I also loved that they had regular jobs and the struggles of life were real no billionaires to come to save the day and own you. ;) The only thing I didn't like was the sloooooooow and I mean verrrrry slllooooooooowwww burn it dragged on way too much! But other than that the story was good the characters awesome just a very enjoyable read.

Ruckus

Ruckus (Sinners of Saint, #2)Ruckus by L.J. Shen

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I love when authors write the crap out of a story and keep me up till four in the morning, having me look up their books to the rest of the series and stalk them to see what's next to come out, and get pissed at how long I gotta wait... but because its so damn good I'll be patient and not bitch and moan like the spoiled brat that I am. (If that wasn't so long Id make that statement a shelf lol)
description

This series right here has me sprung. I love that its got depth and its not no damn 90-page book that leaves me hanging. I love the lil mystery that it had I seriously thought it was predictable but was instantly put to shame when I was found wrong. I love how we get to still keep up with the other characters from the previous books. I love that fulfilled filling I got when I finished this book even knowing I will get to read more from this couple in the other books left in this series. I loved both views into their past and back to present. I loved the male narrator for Dean he was so funny The Voices he used for Vischous and Trent and Jamie are fantastic.

Now as much as I loved it there are a couple of dislikes. The hate but I loved him since forever is old and used up like a full diaper. Rosie got on my nerves with that. The "It's Happening" line better not be said in Trent's story Jaime used it Vishous used it and now Dean no need to fill up the diaper with that anymore.

All in all Dean and Rosie's story was good and smokin hot and such a fun read I recommend. Read it!!!

Heartache and Hope book #1

Heartache and Hope (Heartache Duet, #1)Heartache and Hope by Jay McLean

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Omg! The feels, the feels! Omg the feels! Why the feels? Well because these two young love birds have the world on their shoulders. They tried...they really tried so so hard, I mean well she tried harder than he did but she gave up at the end it was too much for her to handle she could be there for him and her mom. I didn't blame her I totally understood her position and he, though I loved his heart wasn't ready even though he said he just wanted her and didn't care about the gang of baggage that came with her.
"I want you, Ava. On your good days and bad days-especially your bad days. I want you to let me in and know that I'm all in. I just want you."
description

They both need time he needs to continue to concentrate on basketball and school and she needs to find more help than just her and her brother. Seriously what they have to do to help her mom is beyond more than they can handle themselves and its also dangerous.

What I loved about this book was 1. this was another for my grown-ass loves young adult reads for me 2. I love the romance in this the getting to know you and the back and forth banter between them was so freaking cute.3. I loved all the characters her Step-brother Trevor what a heart he didn't have to stay after his dad left them but he did to help her out with her mom. 4. I loved Rys he's a good friend and Karen too you could tell she was a good friend to Ava but I;m questioning her motives on her friendship with Connar. 5. I loved the flow of the writing it didn't drag on at all.

What I hated about this book was 1. The selfishness of Connor like I said he wasn't ready even though his "end game was her he demanded too much." 2. I hated the pressure they were both put under but I understood it. 3. I hate that Karen might end up with Connor in the next book because honestly, it looks that way

All in all a very good read that left with a cliffhanger of heartbreak but I have hope that in the next book they will work things out as long as KAREN STAYS IN HER LANE!

I have found a new author to love!

This book right here le sigh, le swoon
description
Another 5 star to add to my grown-ass loves y/a and i/r reads shelf. I loved this so much. This forbidden romance was a sweet romantic juicy/steamy read. You will fall in love with both characters the slow burn was not to slow it was just right and when they came together it was explosive. I ached for these characters and I rooted for them.

This emotionally driven story puts you in all the feels. Solomon is the perfect book boyfriend and Gracie is the girl whose shoes you want to fill. I loved her. This is why I love growing of age reads the tummy fluttering love of it all, the emotional want but can't have. ugh, I was gutted at the end of this and can't wait to get to the second book and see what tortures are to come.

Awesome job Ms. Grey!!!! I'm hunting down more of your books!

Broken Knight!

My my what an emotional ride I went on with this. I got all the feels with this one. I laughed I got angry I got frustrated I cried I worried and I got happy. this book made me do those 5 things over and over again till the end. Happy but heartbroken was how I was at the end of this. I recommend listening to the audio the narrator for Knights voice was absolutely amazing he should be used for all young adult guys and adult guys too but he was so on point with Knights personality I loved it!

I don’t want to let this story go, Luna and Knight, oh le sigh I want more they deserve more my babies were so cute. I just wish Luna gave me a little more what Knight wanted was so clear he gave all the signs I didn't understand why she held back so much and I think she should have fought a little harder. Knight oh what a beautiful soul ugh the way he loved his momma oh be still my heart!!! Fav character after Vicious by far. But still, I loved every word of this story though I am and still wasn't ready for what happened in this book it was still beautiful. I also can't wait to read what the future holds for all these characters an am excited for Vaughns story

I couldn't decide on which storyboard I liked best so I posted all three I made check out my pins too Happy reading!!

Hideaway (Devilis Night #2)

Hideaway (Devil's Night, #2)Hideaway by Penelope Douglas

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Oh boy, this one missed the mark for me. I feel kind of awkward
description

I'm sad to say it fell flat I thought it was going to be so much more especially after that scene with him Michael and Ricka in book 1 Corrupt. I thought for sure we'd get to see a different side of Kia...well we did but not the side I was hoping for. Instead of hard around the edges Kia we got soft Kia and as for his love interest Banks ugh that connection lost my interest. even though she wasn't my favorite for Kia (Alex would have been better) ;) I like how Banks called them out on their tough act they better watch out seems like Damon's dad has so much more power than them...

This was an ok read for me and the reason for the 3 stars is I loved the past time stories in this series and of course Michael and Rika scenes I loved the beginning of this it was mysterious and sexy especially their past stories whenever the story went back to the present I got bored. I will continue to read the rest of this series because if Ms. Douglas can write anything as she did in book one and the Birthday girl I'm here for it!

Happy reading my friends!

Kill Switch

Kill Switch (Devil's Night, #3)Kill Switch by Penelope Douglas

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

I had really high expectations for Damon's book. I mean he was the villain in book 1 and what he endured through his so-called momma I expected really dark with naughty hot goodness. Book didn't get interesting till 39% no naughty hot goodness till 70% plot twist at 80% I love Ms. Douglas writing style and I've said it before her twist and turns are jaw opening but this book just felt meh! Don't get me wrong there were some goooooooood juuuuicy scenes but I was more lost and confused the majority of reading this.

All in all, I'm looking forward to continuing on with this series and I sure hope Will's book is bomb.com I need the same boys she started out with in book one back. We got a glimpse of them in this one but I hope we get more.

Hero (The Morgan Brothers #1)

Hero (The Morgan Brothers, #1)Hero by Lauren Rowe

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Ok, guys if you want to read something that is full and I do mean full of oooey gooey cheesy weezy sweetness. I'm talking a cotton candy ride on a unicorn with Rainbow Brite type of reading.
description

This book right here is the one for you. You will fall so deep in love with the cuteness of this story. This was such a sweet read I think I have a toothache from it. Lydia and Colby's journey was written so well even with this being an insta-love type of book I did enjoy the work they had to put in to be together.

I will definitely be reading more by Ms. Lowe. I fell in love with the Morgans! The only downfall of this book was we didn't get much of Lydia's side of the family I wanted more of her side too. But all in all very good writing and loved the family aspect of it.... the kids were a hit!

Happy reading my friends!
