AHHHH The Swede... Le sigh


This is my second book by Ms. Maureen. In this book is Scarlet and Viggos story! She's an aspiring singer/drummer and he's a super star Hockey player. This like her other book to this new series was a good ol' classic read. It gave me those old gooey feels I had when I used to read books like this, before the time of the dark reads that has now entered my soul and corrupted me lol! You just gotta come back to that vanilla smut every now and then. this book was smoking hot there was of course that insta connection thing going on again but because of their busy schedules they were forced to do the long distance thing for a bit, which allowed them to get to know each other a little longer before you know they did the do. ;)

I truly enjoyed reading Viggo and Scarlet's story it actually caught me by surprise. all though I do wish she would steer clear of the whole trust issue thing it was too much like her other book. Give me another reason for them to have the predictable break up to make up routine. anything worth having is worth fighting for. Why go into a relationship expecting to get hurt? That's so cliche, that was my only complaint about the book Oh and the damn puck bunnies I'm so over them lol.

Other than that Ms Maureen's books are breath of fresh air good for weekend or vacationing type reading. Its like reading that told the classic style of reading in the 90's we use to goo goo gaga for. Where the H/H meet, have Insta connection and insta love at first sight. You know that old story line that now is predictable you know what's going to happen in each chapter you start by the name of the headline of said chapter. With that being said I recommend this book its a great storyline that kept me entertained and gave me all the feels and had me in my emotions. This was a cotton candy sweet steamy romance that I absolutely adored. I can't wait to read the next book to this series.

Wicked Games

Wicked Games by Maureen Smith

Wicked Games was really and enjoyable read. There was some sexy smoking hit love scenes in this, even with the love at first sight trigger lol but Ms Maureen wrote this in a way you could enjoy it. Main reason is the chemistry between the H&H. This was a breath of fresh air reminds me of my old school days of reading light and fun with some drama that keeps you interested to see if they end up together. That being said with this my first book by this Author I am happy to say that Yes! I will be reading more of her stories.

Well Damn!
This story had so much going on I was overwhelmed. There was one sad dark thing after another happening in this. That is until Truly meets her white knight lol and boy he was everything and a hot mess himself... but this dude took care of his. Girl let me tell you the hotness of True and Bannon was off the chain


But even then the shit just kept coming at me, this was non stop from page one. Seriously no joke page one I was hook line and sinker! It was almost like the author grabbed everything she could think of and word vomited it all out at once without a break. This author is the true meaning of Sorry not Sorry

The crazy that goes on does not let up. You will think ok, ok now we get a breather things are looking good for Truly(yes that’s her name) But nooope! I tell you don't even think about resting your eyes while reading this or even freaking blinking! Just hold on damn tight and ride the wave of Truly's Fd-up story! This story had me filling like I was on the damn Colossus ride at Magic Mountain that damn Heifer has you riding up the bumpy hill all calm like you gonna go down a floating cloud of smoothness only to free-fall the bumpity, bumpity all the way down on the old looking rails , almost breaking your neck in the process of praying that you live to make it.

I eventually had to take a two day break my eyes were burning so bad from non-stop reading this juicy book. Mind you this book is a long one but worth the read. (HER SISTER IS SOMETHING ELSE That GIRL TRIED IT)
Truly did what she had to do to take of her family through all the crap she went through she remained strong too damn strong.
This ghetto ass story was full of entertainment and took me on a never-ending roller coaster ride of fuckery. I mean damn this book is all kinds of Wrong! Its dirty and gritty. Its foul and disrespectful and as a married woman I should hate this book. Buuuut hontiy I gobbled this story up like a deep fried Turkey on Thanksgiving dinner Day. Had a sistah wanting to be a side bitch lol!(I would never!)
You will fall in love with this wacky backwards Brady Bunch of a gang and hate the ones that try to keep them apart. You will need to take several seats after reading this

Drinks some damn wine to calm your nerves with all the crazy in this book.
This was an amazing sad and funny story that went from rags to riches and was so enjoyable.
Five freaking crazy ass stars for this more drama for your momma, break your neck on Gold Rush Magic Mountain ride of a book. Jan Jan Untamed I don't know where you came from but I'm sooo glad I found you!

Some days later.....
When you cant predict the story line

Seriously this had me all up and around the corner in my feelings. I ended this story with a heavy heart. ooohhhhh the emotional ache I feel. I feel like I've been beaten down chil I'm just worn the heck out!

After reading one of her books you gotta go read something light and quick to get your mind right before you catch yourself thinking about these characters like they belong to you and suddenly find yourself washing dishes talking out loud to yourself about scenes in the book... yep I did that.
This was a tough one to read but I was so intrigued with this, didn't like some of what happen like the whole polygamy thing I cant imagine sharing my man girl Id kill a... Oh! I just remembered this one part where Dumani goes after one of the..... Ahhhh you gotta read don't want to spoil it for you man almost couldn't stop myself lol. The Author knows how to captivate you like a damn sparkling vampire. I could not look away and I wanted more.
This story centers around a cult type life with polygamy being the heart of it. Buuut then there is also a apocalyptic thing going on annnnnd lawd yes there's more a paranormal thing too.. Once again Ms. Jan Jan threw everything at me all at once with no time to breathe. My heart broke a million times for the Heroine Dumani she was strong woman also the Hero Judea he was in a tough position with the church even though I wanted to kill him in the middle of the book I understood his positions and oh he made my heart strings go nuts with his crazy in love for Dumani

Fav qoute “Don’t listen to those heathens.  What do they matter?  They don’t know us.  Look at them.  They’re lazy and worthless.  They don’t compare to you in any way, Dumani.  Stop walking with your head down.  I don’t care who is in the fucking room.  You look up and if you don’t know where to look after that, you look to me.  You are my wife.  Those bitches are sunburned and bitter.  They’re jealous of you.”
“Why would they be jealous of me?”
My hand reaches up and brushes my scar.  Jude shakes his head sadly.
“You are everything a man needs in a woman.”

This story takes you on a journey, a looooooong journey Dumani goes through it I tell you and grows as well She not only gets to have love she gets to grow in love. Don't get me started on the third Man she meets. This story... it rips through your chest throws your heart on the floor but it's puts it back again and I loved every minute of it. I love her writing style I cant imagine not liking anything she writes.

This book was everything I loved it! Maddy she just flew off the pages and into my heart.

Oooooh Olly he had me at the bunt cake

What an enjoyable sweet weekend or chillin at the beach or on a long trip somewhere kind of read.
If you want something that will make your heart squeeze just a lil bit and to sigh and gush with happiness every scene with Olly and Maddy this is the story for you.

I was happy before I met him. But I'm alive now, and those are not the same thing

This book grabbed my heartstrings and pulled. Happy reading loves!

Um Wow! this was an Oh My book like seriously put your hand on your chest and say OOOH MYYY!

This book was so wrong it was right, it was dark and heavy and deep and light. It pulled at my heartstrings pushed me away and pulled me back in. (look at me sounding all poetic like lol) This was just what I needed dark and gritty with sex lots of sex lol. but very interesting deep characters. I loved them both He was so alpha and she his perfect match his wit kept me with a smile on my face. There are some triggers if your are a sensitive to some things but other than that it was good read. There is a damn cliffhanger but it ended in a good surprising way making want more. I cant wait to see whats going to happen next and I hope I don't have to wait too long for book 2. This is a new author that I will definitely be reading more from. The writing pulled me in from the start two bad ass assassins oh yeah I was in.. Oh and the cover come on Cassie and Dean

Hell to the yeah I was in, but for some damn reason I kept picturing the Hero as Tom Hardy he just kept popping up like dang what?


But anyway all in all worth the read if you love some good dark stuff or are just in a mood like me heres my couple happy dark reading chica's

Girl let me just say Y'all need to read this.


Omg what an epic story this was! Epic I tell you Epic! I love loved loved it! Can I give it a billion stars?
New fav author on my list of favs! I love finding new jewels. She pulled me with the first paragraph of heroines son getting a message to her to come home because he needed her.

This story is so close to my heart I loved the realness of it. This book was truth and damn if these characters don’t remind you a lil of your own self, I know I saw a lot of me in Charlie and Alec in my husband.

I’m a romance fiction lover of all types. But I love the romance fiction that is realistic and touches my heartstrings and that will keep me thinking about that story forever. This story is bloody brilliant!

I recommend this epic story to all my goodreads buddies. This story will tear your heart out and put it right back together. This story had me with all the emotions. I laughed and cried and got angry and it was all justifiable. As a mother and a wife or husband you will definitely appreciate and enjoy this journey of this family as they go through there trials and tribulations and hold it altogether by that important thing that’s unfortunately slipping from this worlds fingers…love. That’s right people love forgiveness is key! These two worked at coming back together and sticking together fighting the big fight for love and life .

Oh my, this book took me by surprise. I have to say I really liked it, this a new author for me and I loved her writing.

Chloe a sweet girl I liked her. Her falling in love with an older mad was so believable and real to me my only problem was I believe she took advantage of a situation way to fast at the wrong time in the story. I was like whoa girl nooooo. But I can't blame her only.

Theo... my... wow! That man... he just uh leaves me speechless. He's just that good. He knows how to make a girl sigh


I loved his character as well but like her he also did some dumb things too. When things got out of hand and blew up in their faces with some surprising twist I might add. I was gasping for air reading oh lets just say it was both crazy and sad.

All in all this was a fantastic ride I went on with this book that left me sad and happy at the same time

Well danm what a freaking fantastic ride I went on with this book!

I loved every character written in this book. The Six of Crows are absolutely bad ass, honti let me tell you this group of misfits were off the chain! (Is that still cool to say?) What a story this was it was so amazingly fun with little bits of hints of romances., but most of all it was full of intense action and suspense that just kept coming and coming. I gripped my ipad all the way through and it's still not over... on to book two and I'm so excited about it!
